In this Chapter were are exploring the role of the water cycle and the distribution of water on the planet.  Freshwater distribution and water systems were explored, as well as differences between freshwater and salt water.

Ocean basins, their formation and their continual change is one the key concepts in Chapter 2.  Ocean currents and shoreline features are also discussed, as well as a look at some current technologies that are used to explore our vast oceans.

During Chapter 3, we looked at how oceans influence the climate on a local and global scales.  We covered brief introduction to species distribution in water systems and looked at some positive and negative effect of technology in marine environments.
